Thank you!
Well, that's it then....finished! I arrived at Lands End on schedule at around midday on Wednesday 20 June on a very foggy day. Hard to believe it's June.

A bit of hard work I have to say and there were times when I doubted my own sanity. From the very top at Duncansby Head (3 miles from John O'Groats) to Lands End.
I've had a couple of days to reflect and gather my thoughts. A real mixture of emotions. Relief that it is over and a tinge of disappointment that it is all over. One thing I will say is, if you are considering a similar trip my advice is to go with somebody to keep you sane and although it may sound like a cliché your good wishes and messages meant so much - they were a real inspiration when the going got tough (to coin another cliché).
Having said that, I met some wonderful people along the way, found some new friends and rekindled some old friendships, but without hesitation I would say that without the support of everyone who helped me organise the event , the people who were patient enough to allow me to spend most of my spare time training for 5 months and of course everyone who contributed to the charities with their generous donations The Challenge would not have happened. Currently we sit at around £6500 which has been sent to Prostate Cancer UK, Breast Cancer Care & Naomi House Children's Hospice near Winchester.
Thank you to Chris Wrate of Wrate Engineering who were my main sponsors and contributed to paying for my overheads (100% of all donations went to charities) and to so many other people who put themselves out for me and the causes.
Thank you to Sally Gibson who's unbounded enthusiasm, writing skills and photo's enabled me to get it all out on social media and the website. The 'nagging' was worth it Sally! Couldn't have done it without your help!
So many other people to thank which I will get around to thanking personally in due course. Thank you once again to everybody who donated and kept me going with messages of encouragement
The just giving pages will remain open for a few weeks longer and we'll put up a final total at that point
Just writing this on a lovely Sunday morning....think I might go for a bike ride!

PS this is my trusty steed....not even a puncture on the whole trip!
