...and we're off!

Crikey, can't believe I'm off tomorrow....how did that happen? It's been head down training for the last 7 weeks through all the weather conditions....wind, rain, sun you name it I've ridden in it. I've been aiming for at least 70 miles on a training run and trying to get to an average of 13mph...as you would expect some days are tougher than others, especially with the torrential rain of last week.

Anyway, I'm all packed and getting ready to head off tomorrow. I will travel from Basingstoke to Euston – Edinburgh - Inverness and onto Wick. Around 20 hours travel in total. On arrival at Wick it’s a quick 20 mile ride up to Duncansby Head, the most north easterly point of the UK mainland. Then we’re off! The short 3 miles to John O’Groats and across to Tongue , south towards Inverness and follow a route taking in Loch Ness, Fort William and the Caledonian canal eventually skirting to the west of Glasgow and then the borders. Into England , The Lakes down to Manchester, Shropshire, Gloucestershire , Somerset , Devon and Cornwall arriving at Lands End (hopefully) on 20th June.

There's still time to sponsor me. The Challenge will be carried out in aid of three charities
