Day 11 Storm Hector

June 14, 2018

An 'interesting' night in my B&B.  In order of importance....no phone signal, no WiFi, no flushing toilet.  Only 2 hours sleep due to plumbing ‘noises’ meant I was up and away by 6.00.

Weather warnings  were out as the Storm Hector was about to hit. The 7 miles to Clitheroe turned out to be extremely scary.  I was actually blown off the bike twice and ended up walking part of the way for my own safety. I have never known anything like it.

The evocative war memorial in Clitheroe.

Onwards, to the midlands tomorrow and hopefully to flatter terrain because I'm sick of hills!!  It's all downhill from here....apparently.

Here's tomorrows journey.
